Manipulating Light
Welcome to Cindy's Blog By csherman on 7/16/2009 9:30 PM

Choosing a professional photographer for your portrait means that you have someone who knows how to manipulate the light to be it's most flattering for you!  IN the first image we have the lovely Nadra in a wonderful location in light that is mildly dappled.  In order to bring out the best for her we needed to not only block light, but also to reflect some back in.  The difference between the first and last image is subtle, but makes all the difference in the world!

Welcome to Cindy's Blog By csherman on 6/4/2009 1:49 AM

Whew!  I had a whirwind May getting ready to be at this wonderful SEMINAR this week!

We have been studying with the owner of a portrait studio that is in the top 4% of the nation.  Learning so very much about new portrait techniques, and EVERYTHING his studio does to make it more successful.  Our instructor is an open book.

I can't wait to get back to the studio and share some of this stuff!

This beauty is graduating from Gem State this spring.  The weather was tempermental, we had rain, hail and sunshine!  And, Bruce and Barbie, her parents, just had to take the opportunity to grab a quick portrait also.  :)

This last one is a sepia tint with selective color brought back in, Beach Beauty!

Chastin

Here is a composite of Chastin.  I really like this one, the outfits all being the same really gives the composite a classy feel.  In order to continue with that style I photographed the background and then made the matting material of that image.  What do you think?
