This adorable little 9 month old came and saw me this week!  Mommy and Daddy were worried because she decided she did not need her nap that day, but she was all smiles for Cindy!

Welcome to Cindy's Blog By csherman on 1/26/2009 7:10 PM

Yesterday we went out, braving the snow and cold, to the back of the portrait gardens and photographed my son Brent!  He is 15 and one good looking kid!!

He is just barely too old for the Model Search too bad!

Here is a blend I created of him.

January 09
Welcome to Cindy's Blog By csherman on 1/15/2009 11:18 AM

In my previous bog I posted two test images and complained about the quality of the consumer camera's image.  The difference doesn't show much here on line, but in the printed version there is a huge difference, as many of you who have been by have gotten to see.

That family portrait has taken on some very significant importance as it is the last group shot contain my Dad in it, he passed away in November.  This was the first time I did not use a professional camera for our traditional group photo.

I do want to say THANK YOU to all of you who have so very graciously waited to get all of your prints this fall.  Without your very kind consideration we would have never made it through!

Camera Test
Welcome to Cindy's Blog By csherman on 10/20/2008 12:14 PM

You know, my camera is heavy.  I have always just dealt with that fact regardless of weather we were at a family event or vacation, believing that the quality of image that I wanted was worth the inconvenience of lugging around a heavy camera.

Recently tho I had been thinking about the quality the newer 'point and shoot' consumer cameras claim to possess and I decided to leave the heavy beast behind and get one of those little cameras for personal use.  After doing some shopping I bought a Olympus 8 mega pixel camera with a built in telephoto feature.  Nice little camera, wonderfully PINK, and light as a feather.  The cost was right around $250.

I was impressed.  When we went to our annual 'Simmons Family Camp out' i intentionally left 'the beast' at home and took only my littl ...

Heidi Ho fundraiser
Welcome to Cindy's Blog By csherman on 11/3/2007 3:36 PM

The ladies at Heidi Ho have really out done themselves this year.  We had 33 families participating in the portrait fundraiser at Bingaman's Pond.  The weather was drizzly, with the worst of it being on Saturday afternoon, but the drizzle made the colors so intensely saturated that no one seemed to mind!

Feeding the geese and ducks, walking the paths, examing the leaves, these are just a few from a spectatular three days of portraits.
